Things have been busy since Matt left and I pushed blogging to the back burner. I just haven't had the motivation to blog. The first week and a half I didn't sleep much. It was really weird to sleep in our bed alone. Don't get me wrong, I have slept w/o Matt before but I always talked with him before going to bed or at least knew that he was fine. That wasn't the case this time. By the end of the 1st week I was so exhausted that I would go to sleep but couldn't stay asleep. It made for one grouchy momma! After talking to Matt this past Saturday I have been sleeping good...not great but good and I will take that.
It was so good to hear his voice! I actually cried through most of the conversation. I had a bunch of questions to ask him but totally forgot them when I heard his voice :) He is doing well. Missing us like crazy, he said. His TI is super strict and his squadron has some people in it who have gotten in trouble and the whole squadron gets punished. In fact they lost their phone privileges the week before. He said it is the most intense thing he has ever done. During our 15 minute phone call I could hear his TI yell out the time countdown. Let me tell you, it is really hard to talk with someone yelling "10 minutes", "5 minutes" and "time's up" in the background.
I received a package in the mail this week with all the info about graduation. Our 5 days there are going to be packed! They are going to be so much fun though.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week at my preschool. We are showered with special treats everyday. Breakfast was brought in the last 2 days. Not sure what is in store for tomorrow and Thursday. Friday we are being treated to lunch at this nice resturant called Abuleos. The kids are supposed to bring a specific treat in each week....Monday/Tuesday was make a card for your teacher, Wednesday/Thursday is bring a sweet treat for each teacher. Madison made cute little treat bags for tomorrow and Thursday she is bring them each a Diet Coke with a cute tag that says "thanks for being a cool teacher". Tomorrow's treats say "thanks for being such a sweet teacher".
The kids are still doing well. Caleb and Madison enjoyed talking to Matt however Taylor wasn't here so hopefully he will call this weekend so she can talk to him.
We are planning bday parties for the oldest 2 in our spare time...my big girl will be 11 in 2 1/2 weeks! Not sure how that happened. And just 13 days later my baby boy will turn 8. They both decided to have slumber parties...hope I don't regret that decision :) I do have a few weeks between them to recover!

I've been thinking about you. I can't imagine being without my hubby/bestfriend for that long. I am proud of you girl! Hope you start getting some better rest!
Bless your heart Holly. I know it's hard w/o Matt. Hang in there, rest, and take care of yourself. I'm glad you have your parents close to you.
