We have been running "around like chickens with their heads cut off" as my Grandmother would say (and isn't that the grossest sounding thing?). It seems like we are always going somewhere.
Taylor has to be so many places that I am beginning to think we should hire an assistant for her :) She is doing great in school. I had a parent teacher conference last Friday with her teacher. She said Taylor has adjusted well to being at a new school and is making friends. I guess running Cross Country and taking art lessons is helping that :) She has her first "meet" next week and is really nervous. She says that she can't run very fast (I explained none of the kids can since they just started). She also begins her art lessons Friday...she is really excited about this :)
Caleb is doing good too. He is loving school and sometimes isn't ready to come home when I pick him up. I am so glad for this. He is having to learn to be quiet though and has gotten a "warning" a time or 2 for talking when he isn't supposed too (or at least that is what he told me twice this week when I picked him up, his teacher hasn't said anything and he had received smiley faces all week). I have a conference with her next Tuesday so I guess she will let me know if there is a problem (I don't think there is though since I haven't received any notes from her).
Madison thinks "school" is the best thing ever! She would go everyday if she could. She doesn't even bother to kiss/hug me bye when I drop her off unless I remind her....I guess that is a good thing though since a few kids are clinging/crying to their moms at the morning drop-off. This morning she was up at 7:00 AM, finally I couldn't hold her off anymore....she was dressed with her backpack on and her lunchbox in her hand at 8:15. This is only a problem since we don't leave the house until 8:45. She played around in her "kitchen" but never took off her backpack or put down her lunchbox :) She is a funny little girl.
We went to Dollywood with the Aaron, Amy, Clara and Coy this past Sunday. We have season passes and had received 4 free tickets, the "catch" being those tickets expired on Aug 31st. Sunday was the only day we could go. We had a great time and look forward to going with them again when they get their season passes next year :) I have some great photos but since our computer decided to die (and Matt hasn't been able to resurrect it) I can only post from other people's computers and I hate to upload my pictures to someone else's computer :(
Matt is continuing to lose weight (wish I could say the same for myself). I have about 5 weeks before my sister's wedding, where I now will be standing beside her as matron of honor. I may start going to work with Matt so I can drop 40+ lbs (I don't want the pay). I actually had a physical last week and they tested my thyroid...it came back fine. I was kinda hoping something was wrong (not really) that would explain my excessive tiredness and slow weight loss. However those can only be attributed to being old and lazy :) My dr said aside from losing about 10 lbs I am great...the picture of health! That is a really good thing and I am extremely grateful. Matt had a physical too and got a clean bill of health....for that we are very thankful as at his last physical his triglycerides were over 700 (for those of you who don't know that is HORRIBLE) and now they are down below 100 (this is so sad that I am blogging about mine and Matt's physical health).
So that is what we have been up too. Hopefully I can put some pictures on here soon. Friday morning Madison and I are headed to the Zoo with Amy, Clara and Coy. I am sure I will have some great pictures from that outing to share.

I love reading your updates! You are so funny writing about your physical health- we are getting so old aren't we?? Seriously- I am glad your test came back good. I have been on thyroid medication since Will was 3 months old. You never seemed tired to me- remember the retreat? when you were the first one up and all peppy and cheerful?? I'm glad all 3 kids are doing well and enjoying school.
I'm so glad you had fun with the Tomlinson's at Dollywood and are looking forward to a trip to the zoo with them. I'm looking forward to seeing all the pictures when you are able to upload them. :)
Matt--very impressive improvement in those triglycerides! That is something to be proud of, as is the weight loss. I am incredibly jealous as I'm having issues with my own weight lately. Holly, I'm with you--let's go to work! He, he. I wish I was only 10 lbs from where I need to be...alas, I'm more poundage away from my goal that than. Sigh.
I enjoyed reading about your health updates. I don't think it's sad to blog about that--it's important, you know! I'm glad all is well. Love the updates!
It is great that all your kids have adjusted so well to school and a new school at that! That is a HUGE blessing!
Weight loss...congrats to Matt. That is wonderful and I'm sure he must feel great! I hope your energy returns. I am sure some of it has to do with your bustling around with all the kids activities!!
